Terms of service

1. The service

SlabX helps you catalog collectibles, look up market prices from third-party sources, verify grading certificates, keep a history for each item, and share with other collectors. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. Some features described on the site (the marketplace, the creator program, legacy handoff) are not live yet; each gets its own terms, published on this site, before it launches.

2. Prices, valuations, and estimates

Values shown in SlabX come from third-party marketplaces and catalogs, from recent public sales, from values you enter yourself, and, on paid plans, from an AI estimate. They are informational estimates, can be wrong or out of date, and are not appraisals, offers, or financial advice. Collectibles are illiquid and can lose value. Always verify with actual sold listings before buying, selling, or insuring an item. SlabX is not responsible for decisions made based on values shown in the app.

3. Accounts, age, and identity

You may browse SlabX without an account. Buying, selling, posting, and syncing need one. Keep your password confidential and tell us about any unauthorized use; you are responsible for activity on your account. Passwords must be at least 8 characters and are checked against known breaches. Where SlabX staff create an account for you or set a password at your request, change it after your first sign-in. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and at least 16 if you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom (or the lower age your country has set for consenting to online services). When you register you confirm your age and accept these terms and the privacy policy; we record the time and the version you accepted.

Identity verification is optional unless a feature requires it. It is performed by Stripe Identity on Stripe's pages: a government photo ID and a matching selfie. SlabX never receives the document; we store only whether the check passed, when, and Stripe's session reference. A member who passes carries a blue Verified badge next to their name across SlabX, including on listings, profiles, and community posts, and must keep it: the badge cannot be hidden, and it is removed if the verification is withdrawn, found to be fraudulent, or the account is suspended. The badge means the person controlling the account matched a government ID at the time of the check. It is not an endorsement of the person, their items, or their prices. We may require verification before certain actions, such as publishing a marketplace listing or receiving payouts, and we may refuse or revoke verification without giving a reason.

4. Subscriptions

• Collector and Investor plans are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions, monthly or yearly, through the Apple App Store or Google Play at the price shown at purchase.
• Where offered, a free trial converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless canceled at least 24 hours before it ends.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; you keep access until the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
• Offer codes and introductory prices are issued by Apple or Google under their rules and may be limited to new subscribers.
• Prices may change; we will give notice before a change affects you.

5. Guides, merchandise, and coupons

• The Starter Guide is free. Category guides and books are sold as digital downloads or printed copies at the price shown at checkout, with payment processed by Stripe, Amazon, or the app stores.
• Digital guides are delivered immediately and are for your personal use; you may not resell or redistribute them. Because they are delivered at once, refunds on digital guides are at our discretion unless your local law gives you a right to one.
• Printed goods and merchandise are made to order and shipped by our print partner. Damaged or misprinted items are replaced or refunded when you tell us within 30 days of delivery with a photo.
• Coupon codes apply to the products stated when issued, one per order, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may be withdrawn or capped at any time. Codes obtained by fraud are void.
• Bundled offers: when a guide purchase includes a free period of a SlabX plan, the period is granted inside the app with a one-time code sent with your download. It needs no card, does not renew, and ends on its own; it cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred, or combined with another free period, and expires if not redeemed within 12 months. A refund of the guide ends the free period.

6. Marketplace

The marketplace lets members sell collectibles to each other. SlabX provides the listing, payment holding, shipping label, tracking, and dispute tools. SlabX is not the seller, not the buyer, not an escrow agent under any state law, and not a party to the sale. We do not inspect, authenticate, or guarantee any item.

• Listing. You must be signed in to list. Sellers must complete Stripe payout onboarding and provide a ship-from address before a listing goes live, and, where the setting is on, hold a verified ID. Describe items truthfully, including grader, grade, certificate number, condition, and known defects. List only items you own and may lawfully sell. Prohibited: counterfeits and reproductions sold as genuine, stolen goods, items that violate a grader's or publisher's rights, and anything illegal where the buyer or seller lives.
• Price and fees. The listing price is set by the seller. The buyer pays the price plus a buyer fee shown before checkout. The seller pays a seller fee shown before publishing. Fees are stated at the time and may change for new listings with notice on the site.
• Shipping. Each listing states who pays shipping. When the buyer pays, the buyer chooses a carrier rate at checkout and it is added to the total. When the seller pays, the seller buys the label after the sale and its cost is deducted from the seller's payout. All labels are bought through SlabX's carrier account so that tracking is attached to the order. Orders at or above the insurance threshold shown on the site are insured for the item price; higher-value orders require a signature. Shipping is within the United States only for now.
• Payment holding and release. The buyer pays SlabX through Stripe. SlabX holds the payment until the carrier reports delivery and the release window stated on the order (48 hours unless changed) has passed, or the buyer confirms receipt earlier. SlabX then transfers the seller's share, less the seller fee and any seller-paid label, to the seller's Stripe Express account. Sellers are paid by Stripe under Stripe's Connected Account Agreement; SlabX does not hold seller funds after release.
• Problems and disputes. A buyer may open a problem before release for non-receipt, an item not as described, or damage. Payment stays held while we review. We may ask both sides for photos and tracking. Our decision, made in good faith on the evidence, is final between the parties for the purpose of releasing or refunding the held payment; it does not limit your rights against the other party or under consumer law. A refund returns the buyer's payment; fees paid to payment processors may not be recoverable.
• Cancellation. A checkout that is not completed within 30 minutes releases the listing. A seller who does not buy a label within 5 days of payment may have the order cancelled and refunded.
• Taxes. Sellers are responsible for any tax on their sales. SlabX may collect and remit tax where the law requires a marketplace to do so, and will show it at checkout.
• Shops. A card shop may apply for a storefront. SlabX approves, suspends, or removes shops at its discretion. An approved shop may list quantities greater than one; each order is for one unit. A shop's stated handling time and returns policy add to these terms and cannot reduce the buyer protections in this section. Shops onboard with Stripe as a business and are responsible for their own tax and licensing obligations.
• Conduct. No off-platform payment for a listed item, no shill bidding or fake offers, no fee avoidance. Violations may lead to removal of listings, holding of payouts pending review, and account termination.

6a. Grading submissions

SlabX does not grade, authenticate, or encapsulate collectibles. Where offered, SlabX prepares a grading submission from your record and places it with the third-party grader you choose. You ship the items directly to that grader at your own cost and risk, insured for the declared value you set. The grader's fees, turnaround, terms, and grade are the grader's alone; SlabX shows published prices for reference and does not guarantee them. Declared values you enter must be honest. SlabX records the grade and certificate number the grader reports and is not responsible for the grader's decisions, delays, loss, or damage. Any SlabX service fee is shown before you create a submission.

7. Referrals and the creator program

Every member has a share code, link, and QR code. When someone joins through your code we record the referral. Referral rewards, if any, are announced on the site when offered, can be changed or withdrawn for future referrals at any time, and are void where obtained by self-referral, fake accounts, or spam. Creators who are accepted into the program accept the Creator Program Agreement electronically, with their individual terms in its Schedule A, including the revenue share and payout schedule. Creator payouts run through Stripe and require identity and tax details; earnings from refunded or charged-back purchases are reversed. Creators must disclose the relationship clearly in every post where they mention SlabX, as the FTC Endorsement Guides require, and may not buy ads on the SlabX name or make claims we have not published.

8. Community content

You own what you post. By posting you give SlabX a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content inside the service. Do not post content that is illegal, infringing, harassing, deceptive (including fake sales or prices), or that reveals other people's private information. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

9. Acceptable use

Do not scrape, reverse engineer, overload, or interfere with the service, resell access, abuse the public forms or short links, or use SlabX to break the terms of the third-party sources it relies on.

10. Emails

Account and support emails are part of the service. News emails go only to people who opted in, carry our postal address and a one-click unsubscribe link in every message, and stop within ten business days of a request at the latest. We never use misleading subject lines.

11. Third-party services and trademarks

Market Pulse shows headlines and summaries from third-party publishers with a link to the source; the publishers own that content and SlabX does not endorse it. Shipping labels are issued by carriers through Shippo, and carrier terms apply to the shipment. Payments, payouts, and identity checks are performed by Stripe under Stripe's own terms.

SlabX uses data and services from PSA, PCGS, Ximilar, Scryfall, the Pokemon TCG API, YGOPRODeck, Lorcast, eBay, Anthropic, Supabase, RevenueCat, Stripe, Resend, Apple, and Google, each under their own terms. Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Disney Lorcana, One Piece, PSA, PCGS, Beckett, CGC, SGC, and other names and marks belong to their owners. SlabX is an independent product and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of them.

12. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SlabX is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss related to item values, purchases, sales, trades, grading decisions, or data loss. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms removes rights that consumer law in your country gives you and that cannot be excluded by contract.

13. Termination

You can stop using SlabX at any time and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or end access for violations of these terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Clark County, Nevada, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.

15. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. For material changes we update the date and version at the top, show a notice in the app, and email account holders before the change takes effect; continued use after that date means you accept the new terms. Questions: support@getslabx.com.
